There are many benefits of incorporating inclusion strategies into the workplace, but for me, the most important is creating a sense of belonging for employees. For employees to do their best work and to expand their professional capacity, it’s critical that they feel a sense of belonging with their colleagues. With a sense of belonging comes a feeling of trust and safety. When trust and safety are present, employees feel comfortable asking for help, taking risks, making mistakes (and learning from them), as well as providing support to their co-workers.

Scion actively removes bias by thoughtfully designing an inclusive hiring process and training all staff in key diversity and inclusion areas, including Unconscious Bias Foundations and Inclusive Strategies. This intentional approach ensures every applicant receives fair consideration based solely on merit, skills, and experience.
Our internal staff receives specialized training in foundational diversity and inclusion topics such as Understanding Diversity and Inclusion Foundations, Microaggressions, Inclusion and Belonging, and Cultural Sensitivity.
