Scion Technical Search is seeking a Lab Service Desk Support (Tier 3) for our amazing, innovative client in South San Francisco, CA. This established science company is looking for a technician to support scientific data management software (SDMS), with a mixture of help desk and systems administration responsibilities. 

This position is ideal for someone who has prior experience working as an IT technician within the sciences field, particularly supporting SDMS.

What you will be doing:

• Handling all tickets related to troubleshooting at the application level, errors, user configuration etc. 
• Identifying opportunities to improve the operating procedures around the SDMS
• Perform SDMS maintenance takings including: Account and server maintenance

What you will need:

• Strong background in the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience supporting with BIOVIA workbook system in a GxP environment
• Experience with service desk tools such as ServiceNow
• Good understanding of Active Directory and Sharepoint
• Thorough understanding of Laboratory Informatics Systems and business processes

• This position is offering a competitive salary of $125k per year to start as well as a generous stipend to pay for medical benefits. This position will put someone on a career path toward Director of IT or Head of Security, depending on the technical direction of the company.
