Scion Staffing's Technical Division is seeking a Remote Lead Full Stack Engineer for our client in the renewable energy sector! We're excited to be partnered with a company leading the way in such an exciting industry!

This engineer will be focused on web applications that support the company's main product: a cutting-edge battery that massively boosts the efficiency of energy storage! These batteries are being coupled with Solar Farms to advance the renewable energy cause!

Our partner in this search is a billion dollar enterprise with more than 300 employees. They’re headquartered out of Arlington, VA, but this engineering team is distributed as they are fully remote!

What you will be doing:

• 60 % code development and 40 % people management as a team lead
• Managing the UI/UX team - including coaching, mentorship and development
• Design, develop, build and document interfaces for physical product, customer portal and other applications
• Strong focus on developing controls to integrate grid-scale batter and power conversion systems from industry-leading manufacturers

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in CS required
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Expertise in Agile development 
• Strong foundation in ReactJS on the Frontend
• Strong backend experience in Ruby (on Rails) 
• Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers
• Ability to work on ET hours
