Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a CNC Lathe and Mill Programmer for our amazing client, an engineering corporation! This is a direct-hire and onsite opportunity located in the Sylmar, CA, and is a fantastic opportunity to work with an amazing team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret blueprint designs, technical drawings, and configure machinery to produce the components of the product
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair any and all technical issues with Lathe and/or Mill machines
• Quickly problem solve any mechanical issues to ensure high efficiency
• Perform quality assurance on all products to ensure they meet customer specifications
• Review systematic programs and revise as needed to reduce labor costs
• Keep up to date on machine maintenance
• Assist with any changes to design, cost, product specifications, or other details to ensure the product fits customer specifications
• Adjust and model cutting paths for products, and program machinery by using a variety of software based on client needs
• Train new employees on how to use equipment and software programs
• Follow and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs of the company

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience working as a CNC Programmer 
• Experience reading and understanding technical manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience cutting materials, setting fixtures, running programs, and finishing parts
• Experience configuring, programming, and troubleshooting CNC Lathe and/or Mill machines
• Experience with troubleshooting and fixing mechanical problems as needed
• Experience editing or programming with G Code preferred
• Experience with CNC Software such as Mastercam, Fusion360, or HSM preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and master problem solver
• Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
