Scion Technical has been engaged to conduct a search for a highly skilled and methodical Data Engineer for an organization that is revolutionizing the practice of medicine and prides itself on being a benchmark of comprehensive and high-quality care.  

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to learn the operational areas of the organization and help drive key business decisions to help aid in the delivery of quality health care.  

This position is for immediate, direct/permanent hire, and offers hybrid/remote flexibility out of Portland, OR.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing data definitions consistent with data management standards and conventions.
  • Collaborating with physical database designers to develop alternative solutions to ensure complex and conflicting issues get resolved.
  • Using the knowledge of the healthcare industry to inform the solution design and development to execute high-quality or differentiated solutions in an established problem space.
  • Developing applications that combine data from existing sources and tailoring them to specific user groups and business needs.
  • Reporting analyst duties including designing and developing automated actionable reports to inform managers in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with KPIT and business clientele to define, design, document and build domain-level information data marts in the data warehouse for purposes of supporting end users.

What you will need:

  • Must be based out of Oregon or Washington.
  • Strong project management skills in the health or insurance industry are a plus!  
  • Highly skilled in using SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.  
  • Strong logical data modeling skills and use of data modeling tools.
  • Experienced in gathering scope and business requirements for data infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • This position with our client requires employees to report to work at a physical location (occasional in-person meetings).
