Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Chief Technology Officer for our client, a successful and growing SaaS company with products that serve e-commerce companies! This role is based in the Miami area. You’ll manage and ensure the successful development of software platforms; as well as shape, develop, and execute the company’s technology strategy. This is a full time, direct hire, onsite hybrid role.

- Compensation range is $180-240k, flexible, depending on experience
What you will be doing:
- Lead and manage a growing team of IT professionals that includes developers, engineers, architects, QA, and more
- Get your “hands dirty”, helping this team as needed within their tech stack with a focus on SaaS, data enrichment and business intelligence.
- Oversee the development, deployment and maintenance of software products
- Work with executive leadership to develop and execute IT strategy
- Ensure the organization stays on top of emerging technologies and ecommerce industry trends for business growth and innovation
- Create and manage IT department budget
What you will need:
- 10+ years of IT leadership roles in software development/management
- Hands on experience in similar tech stack, which includes React, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Not afraid to step in and assist with coding while the team is growing if necessary.
- Experience in a SaaS environment is a plus
- Experience with Big Data in volume, velocity and variety
- Experience building on and scaling up a team of A players
- Demonstrated experience leading large teams and managing complex software projects
- Expertise in collaboration with disparate teams; experience managing international teams preferred
- Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field preferred
