Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Unix Technical Consultant for our client, a locally owned and operated MSP in Arvada, CO!

What you will be doing:

• Provide Advanced Unix System Support: Act as the primary expert for Unix systems administration, offering comprehensive support for operating systems like OpenVMS, AIX, Tru64 UNIX, HP-UX, Oracle Solaris, and Linux.

• Diagnose and Resolve Technical Issues: Troubleshoot complex technical issues for enterprise-level clients, ensuring mission-critical systems operate efficiently and resolving issues promptly to meet customer needs.

• Develop and Scale Technical Offerings: Work closely with the technical team to build out new product offerings and contribute to the growth and scalability of the organization’s technical capabilities.

• Client-Facing Technical Communication: Collaborate directly with clients, including Fortune 500 corporations and federal agencies, to provide expert advice, support, and customer service, ensuring clear communication and effective solutions.

• Maintain Compliance and High-Impact Standards: Adhere to rigorous standards in highly regulated environments (such as healthcare, government, and finance), emphasizing security, compliance, and reliability for critical infrastructure.

What you will need:

• 7+ years of Unix experience
• Experience in LVM, TCP/IP networking, troubleshooting, and performance management
• Strong customer support skills, ability to interface with clients
