Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Systems Builder with expertise in the Tridium Niagara 4 Framework for our client, a wonderful building systems monitoring organization in Houston, Texas! In this role, you’ll create solutions which monitor facility infrastructure systems, analyze commercial building performance, energy usage, and system health without directly controlling HVAC, mechanical or electrical systems. You will develop scalable and efficient monitoring platforms, integrating data from various sources, and providing actionable insights through user-friendly dashboards and analytics tools. This is a full time, onsite, direct hire role in the Houston area!

- Compensation range is $75-125k, depending on experience
What you will be doing:
- Design and build building monitoring systems using the Tridium Niagara 4 Framework and related software.
- Configure and program Niagara 4 for monitoring data collection, trending, and visualization.
- Integrate multiple data sources and protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT, APIs) to collect real-time information from building systems.
- Develop intuitive dashboards, charts, and reports to display energy usage, equipment performance, and environmental conditions.
- Ensure accurate data logging, trending, and historical analysis within the Niagara 4 environment and using various databases and analytics tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to monitoring system configurations and data integrations.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify monitoring requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Document system architecture, configurations, and data flow processes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in building monitoring, analytics, and data visualization.
What you will need:
- Demonstrated experience with Tridium Niagara 4; 3+ years experience preferred.
- Proven expertise in building monitoring systems, energy management, or data integration.
- Proficiency in Niagara Workbench for system configuration and data handling.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and integration of monitoring devices.
- Familiarity with IT systems, databases, and networking for data collection and storage; experience with equipment integration is a large plus.
- Experience in development languages such as HTML, JavaScript, and Java is a plus
- Experience with User Interface Development is a plus
