Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer for our client, a highly reputable organization in New York City!

This is an exciting short-term opportunity for a highly skilled networking professional to lead a complex Cisco deployment within a tight 10-day timeline. The selected candidate will be responsible for configuring and integrating enterprise-level Cisco networking solutions, collaborating with the client’s internal team, and ensuring a seamless implementation.

What They Offer:

• $75hr-$110hr – DOE
• On-site role in New York City with remote flexibility

What You Will Be Doing:

• Configuring and deploying Cisco Firepower 1150 NGFW appliances, Catalyst 9300 Layer 3 switches, Aironet devices, and EDGE 620 VMware SD-WAN solutions.
• Integrating Cisco network infrastructure with the client's VMware environment.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site and remotely.
• Collaborating with the client's IT team to ensure a seamless deployment and knowledge transfer.
• Documenting all configurations, settings, and processes for the client’s reference.

What You Will Need:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level Cisco networking solutions.
• Expertise in Cisco IOS, routing protocols, VLANs, firewalls, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Proven track record of deploying and managing complex Cisco networking projects.
• Experience working under tight deadlines, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate or education industry networking needs.
• Familiarity with New York City-based IT environments.
• Experience providing remote Cisco network support and configuration.
