They represent leading contractor associations, including one of the largest affiliated building contractors managing billions of dollars in annual construction projects. What You’ll Be Doing
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare well-written, accurate communications for member organizations, unions, internal staff, consultants and public entities.
- In collaboration with counsel and other team members, negotiate collective bargaining agreements on behalf of client associations or individual contractors.
- Analyze key industry legislation, work collaboratively in developing and drafting bill amendments.
- Advise clients based on applicable labor agreement provisions or relevant laws.
- Manage or assist in managing industry programs for association clients, as assigned.
- Participate in conferences and industry events, representing our client in a professional manner.
- Consistently support and promote our client's vision and strategic goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with all stakeholders, including, but not limited to: colleagues, contractor clients, union representatives and consultants.
- Thoroughly research and recommend solutions to issues facing the organization and its members, as assigned.
- Prepare effective communication pieces for stakeholders, as assigned, such as industry updates, labor relations, legislative, and/or safety related bulletins/memoranda, Association meeting minutes, etc.
- Attend company and industry events including meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned or needed.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s and/or Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant job experience.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of some or all of the following: contracts and legal principles, labor relations, the construction industry, professional association management, contract negotiation, or construction policy.
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other tech PM tools.
- Comfortable presenting information to small and large groups in professional settings.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This full-time onsite role is open to candidates who can reside permanently in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to a competitive base salary of $125,000-$150,000 (DOE) this incredible role provides a comprehensive benefits package including Health/Dental/Vision Care, Profit-sharing Pension Plan, Vacation and Sick Leave, Life Insurance and a Car Allowance.
TRAVEL:
This role requires occasional regional travel to attend events, meet with stakeholders, and conduct outreach efforts.
